Compared to at least 5 others, this produces the best sound quality. While these might not give you the most "neutral" professional-audio signal, compared to Sony's DJ700, Philips SHE series, and to Etymotic 6i, I found these to produce the highest quality sound: a very "dry"- but embracing- distribution of various elements in the music to create a rich surround effect. In other words, WITH THESE, I ALWAYS DISCOVER NEW LAYERS OF SOUND in the music I haven't heard before... The cons are that they do get dirty easily, and are not suitable for gym\jogging as their "hold" is not as tight as true in-ear canal ear phones.
